They were there again. Sitting in silence and staring into space. Completely aware of each others presence, yet unwilling to reach out far enough to feel whole again.
Around them the world continues to turn. Others come and go, making little impact on their lives and failing in everything they try. A sweet smile that pulls at the heart strings, piercing eyes that threaten to see into the soul, loving touches designed for only one.
It’s all meaningless. They continue to move in circles, always ending up in the same place and lost in one another. Forbidden desires take hold.
